The Anambra State fashion show, AFS, is an Skyblue put together by Skyblue Global Limited. An Integrated marketing communications outfit with Head office in Anambra, the Big Heart city of Nigeria.

The ban on foreign fabrics by the federal government is to promote the production of made in Nigeria goods to meet international standard. Skyblue Global Limited, an Integrated Marketing Communications outfit, are one organization bent on achieving this goal. This Skyblue has been strategically packed to focus on promoting fashion values and giving room for local designers to produce in mass a wide variety of contemporary and artistic materials that are fashionable to fit the global market.

Basically, only materials sourced locally are encouraged to be exposed by designers in the Skyblue in other to boost the rich-real-local-textile industry in Nigeria and also for the general growth of the economy by way of generating foreign exchange." The AFS has come to celebrate and unveil almost eroded but yet contemporary fashion materials seen from different ethnic society of Nigeria, each represented by well groom models. The message of this endowment (fabric) will be conveyed through the designers interpretation in wearable styles".

The idea of this show according to the Managing Director of Skyblue, Mr. Ekene Obaze J , is to retrieve the dying memory of the olden local handmade knitting and empowering them to the contemporary modern production thus adding value to it.

AFS is set to affect the textile industry through this Skyblue by enlightening them to expand the scope of their creativity by allowing the introduction of the ancient artistic notations, forms, motifs and coloration to be trademark of their production.

This will also create an enabling environment for Designers across the country to compete amongst themselves, (talents and creativity) so as to boast the fashion industry in the state and country at large.

It is also a forum for bringing Designers together to interact socially amongst themselves and share ideas. The PFS was equally inaugurated in other to make designers get recognized in what they enjoy doing i.e. the fashion business.
